Originating as a line of Fisher-Price toys, Rescue Heroes is a Canadian animated television series produced by Nelvana . In 2003, the brand was featured in the DVD movie, Rescue Heroes: The Movie. Although the TV series is made with cel animation, Nelvana decided to create the movie using full 3D CGI animation rendered with stylized toon shading.

Rescue Heroes: The Movie was a huge, ambitious project, so Nelvana farmed out work to some external production facilities, including Faust Logic . At Faust Logic , we assembled a small team and contributed rigging, texturing, modeling, and character animation to the production. Much of the work assigned to us focused on the many secondary characters who the heroes must rescue from a variety of natural disasters.
