Rayman: Hoodlum’s Revenge for Game Boy Advance
About Project
Rayman: Hoodlum’s Revenge was a Game Boy Advance title for Ubisoft’s long-running and popular Rayman franchise.
An important cost-saving strategy for development was to reuse many 3D character models from the console game Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc and render them as sprites for a Game Boy Advance engine. A primary contribution from Faust Logic was the isometric setup and rendering of the game’s large cast of heroes and villains including: Rayman, Globox, Murfy, Hoodlums, Reflux, Teensies, and many others. (The Rayman character alone required more than 15 different sprite cycles each rendered from 5 separate camera angles.)
Additionally, with help from Daydream Studios in Rio de Janeiro, Faust Logic was able to provide custom character modeling and animation, plus some level design.
